"A Star is Born": Your New Go-To Playlist

Does This Garner Your “Applause?”

By Daniella Petrocelli

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born” is a recreation of the 1976 film, directed by Frank Pierson. Cooper plays the role of Jackson Maine, a famous country singer who is an alcoholic and a drug addict. Maine meets Ally, aka Lady Gaga, in a drag queen bar one night where he listens to Ally’s captivating voice, making him immediately fall for her. Maine and Ally continue to spend of the night together drinking, talking, and getting to know each other. They continue to see one another as Ally supports Maine through his music career, even letting her sing her original songs at some of his concerts. The two fall deeply in love with one another; they create a bond that is unbreakable. However; after people begin to hear Ally’s stunning voice, she starts to receive more praise than Maine, making him spin out of control. Does her talent make her more famous than Maine? Does Maine become jealous? Is their relationship going to survive? All of these questions are answered but only if you go see “A Star Is Born.”

Gaga and Cooper’s voices together is something magical. Not only did I go see the movie but have had the soundtrack playing in my room ever since I have left the movie theater. Although the songs are not your average Lady Gaga pop songs, the lyrics are so powerful that they make you belt out a note that is completely wrong.

More reasons to go see “A Star is Born” is that Cooper’s real dog is in the movie and “its so fluffy I want to die!” If you love adorable, fluffy dogs, this is a must see for you. If you love anything that has to do with music, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, romance, and more, “A Star is Born,” is perfect for you.
