Some of the most beautiful looks come straight from the Haute Couture runways. Both the handmade clothing and makeup are a part of what make these shows magical. In particular, makeup artists get the chance to create surreal looks with shapes, colors and textures. Look no further for your Thursday night going out makeup, inspired by these bold Spring Season 2019 Haute Couture looks!

The pink ruffles on this Schiaparelli dress paired with matching geometric clear glasses are a match made in Valentine’s heaven. The S/S 2019 show inspires a bold look  with a variety of shapes and monochromatic color schemes that can be added to an everyday makeup routine. To recreate it yourself, just start by sweeping pink eyeshadow across your lid and through your crease, and then add a star (or any sort of shapes) around the eyes. Milk Makeup has a great star stamp, but you can also get the same effect with eyeliner.

Throw it back to your sophomore year Gatsby reading days with a look inspired by these finger waves and glowing skin. This blush look worn by a Jean Paul Gaultier model on the S/S 2019 runway serves to make your cheekbones look soft and sweet. Contrasted with sharp shoulder pads featured heavily in this show, this ethereal makeup is light, quick, and gorgeous. It’s easy to achieve, too – just apply more blush than you think you need around the cheekbones and temple, then blend it out.

Have you ever wanted to look like a mix of Mrs. Frankenstein and a pin-up model? Look no further than the voluminous hair and dramatic makeup at Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2019. The clothes were delicate and romantic while  the makeup and hair brought a rock and roll edge to the show. Next time you find yourself going out, make sure all eyes are on you with this smoldering smokey eye and red lip, inspired by the makeup at Chanel. Blend a light brown, dark brown, and a grey through your crease and then pack a black shadow onto your lid. For the lips, pick your signature red and go to town.

The Chanel look is nice, but maybe you don’t want all that drama. This one, from Ralph & Russo Haute Couture S/S 2019, is for those who prefer a low ponytail and glowing minimalist makeup. Ralph & Russo gave their models a thick wing and baby pink lip that can take you anywhere from classes to DJs. Just use any liquid eyeliner to give yourself a cat-eye and then add a swipe of pink lipstick. Apply highlighter to all the high points of your face and some of the low points, too―anything for that glow.

Even if you don’t have a little red hat and dangly red earrings, you can still recreate this Armani Privé Haute Couture S/S19 look. The models had red streaks drawn under their eyes to complement the monochromatic color scheme of the collection. Take that red streak, turn it orange, and you’ve got a perfect look for tailgates. If you don’t have orange eyeliner, which you probably don’t because who does, just take orange eyeshadow on a little brush and spray it with water or setting spray to make the pigment brighter. Then swipe it right under your bottom lashes, apply mascara, and head to East Adams.
